The following is a list of global PBL programs being offered mainly by the Information Technology Course in FY2025. In these programs, students will visit partner universities overseas and form teams with students from Japan and other countries to solve problems at the local site overseas.
Fat Web Application Development gPBL
Teams will develop web applications with students from Hanoi University of Science and Technology at Sun* (Sun Asterisk) headquarters in Hanoi Vietnam, scheduled to take place August 4-15, 2025.
Fat social problem solving gPBL
The group will form groups with students from Suranaree Institute of Technology in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, to identify problems, propose solutions, and create demonstrations regarding environmental and other issues. The program is scheduled to be implemented in February or March 2026.
TNI-SIT Virtual Reality Development gPBL
Students will visit Thai-nichi institute of technology in Bangkok, Thailand, and pair up with local students to develop VR applications. The program is scheduled to be implemented in February 2026.
◯gPBL on learning current network technology
The group will form groups with students from Dong-A University and Ming-Chi University of Technology in Taiwan to develop network-based applications at Dong-A University in Danang/Vietnam. The implementation is scheduled for the second half of February 2026.
Hanoi Robot PBL
The students will work in groups with local students at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Hanoi, Vietnam, to build a robot based on a line-trace robot, scheduled for March 2026.
Fat.Data Science Competition gPBL (Accepted)
This is a global PBL for data analysis using data sets related to real-world issues. This gPBL is acceptance-based and will be conducted at the Toyosu campus in September 2025.
